Director of Planning and Operations, GovEx

Johns Hopkins University seeks a Director of Planning & Operations, GovEx for the Bloomberg Center for Government Excellence (GovEx). GovEx supports and coaches’ local government leaders and their teams to build a data-driven public sector that fairly and justly uses data, research, and analytics to better understand complex issues, engage residents, and implement policy interventions that lead to equitable outcomes and transforms the standard of living for underserved residents.

Data Scientist

Johns Hopkins University is looking for a Data Scientist to join the Analytics Team at the Center for Government Excellence (GovEx). Our team works to unite data with subject matter expertise on social topics that are relevant to cities and their residents. We make both data and its context readily available to be used and consumed by city employees, developers, and the public. We also provide coaching and technical assistance to cities aiming to improve their data practices.

Quantitative Analyst

Johns Hopkins University’s Bloomberg Center for Government Excellence (GovEx) seeks to hire an energetic and curious professional to serve as Quantitative Analyst, this is a full-time position within GovEx’s expanding analytics team. The incumbent is expected to make significant contributions to the successful implementation of various GovEx programs, projects and activities.

Data Engineer

The Center for Government Excellence is seeking a Data Engineer who will help create and maintain complex data pipelines from raw acquisition of data to visualization. This main responsibilities of this role will include the design, production, and maintenance of software infrastructure to automatically extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources, input/output data from databases and realize complex queries, creation of scripts for data manipulation, cleaning, filtering, and preparation of data outputs to be used for data visualization or web display.
