By connecting city practitioners across regions and roles, GovEx creates the conditions for collective problem-solving, rapid learning, and responsible innovation, helping cities move faster, go further, and lead with confidence in a data-driven future.
The Civic Analytics Network (CAN), pictured, is a network of leading urban chief data officers and other senior data officials, established in 2015. The network convenes data executives at the city level to discuss the adoption and dissemination of innovations in data, analytics, and AI at every level of government.
In 2023, Bloomberg GovEx partnered Bloomberg Philanthropies to launch City AI Connect, and it has grown into the premier global learning community and digital platform for cities to trial and advance the use of AI to improve public services. The community, open to city leaders around the world, now includes more than a thousand members from almost 500 cities on six continents, leveraging a steady stream of new resources, monthly webinars, and robust conversation and data and AI in cities.
