On Sept. 11, GovEx and its sister center, the Bloomberg Center for Public Innovation, hosted a delegation from the U.S. State Department’s International Visitor Leadership Program, an exchange program between the U.S. and international leaders in government, business, academia, and other fields. The delegation included 11 national and regional leaders from Germany and Sweden working in public service innovation and data protection.
GovEx staff gave an overview of our work with the public sector to foster data and performance practices and innovation, and how artificial intelligence can be leveraged for public good. The delegation was particularly interested in new products GovEx is developing to help cities assess their capacity to leverage AI tools and access resources to advance their capabilities.
As with a previous visit from an Indonesian delegation, it was fascinating to share best practices and hear how governments around the world are managing related challenges.
